At a Monday press conference, TECSYS (Booth 3872) announced a new set of tools and application knowledge named “SMART” that is aimed at wringing more value from its supply chain execution software.

Robert Colosino, VP of marketing and business development, described SMART as a set of industry maps, models, tools, templates and industry expertise that allows users of the vendor’s applications to maximize the success of the software deployment. The tools point users to how the software best supports specific supply chain processes, making sure they get full use of features in warehouse management systems (WMS) and other TECSYS applications.

“SMART is aimed at making sure our customers are squeezing every last drop of value out of our solutions, recognizing that each customer and industry is different,” said Colosino.
The set of SMART tools and models also works with a new Web-based requisitioning solution announced Monday—Requisition Management System. The application handles purchase requisitions for supplies and services.
