JBT FoodTech, an American food processing machinery provider owned by JBT, has inked a $4m freezing solutions supply contract with Belgium-based Dicogel-Begro.

Under the deal, JBT will supply and integrate a multi-module Frigoscandia FLoFREEZE freezer with sequential defrost and FRIGoPAK refrigeration system. The equipment will be used for processing of frozen vegetables.

JBT FoodTech Food Solutions and Services Division vice president and division manager Torbjorn Arvidsson said, "This project is another excellent example of how JBT FoodTech partners with our customers to meet their specific requirements for a customized solution to their frozen food product needs."

The contract was awarded in the third quarter of 2013, and the project is scheduled to enter operation by the third quarter of 2014.

JBT designs, manufactures, tests and services technological advanced systems and products for industrial food processing customers through its JBT FoodTech segment and JBT AeroTech segment. It operates in about 25 countries globally.
